Bombay HC Orders Fresh Review of ₹170 Cr GST Demand on Go Digit Insurance
Bombay High Court has quashed the ₹170.29 crore GST demand—comprising ₹154.8 crore in tax and ₹15.48 crore penalties—levied by Chennai South Commissionerate on Go Digit General Insurance for July 2017–March 2022. The court cited relevant GST Council circulars and directed a fresh adjudication within three months. This ruling provides interim relief to Go Digit, which listed recently, with FY25 profits up 133% to ₹425 crore.
